An automated switch that is mounted to the hinge of a kiln. When the lid is opened past the height of the prop, this switch ensures power to the heating coils is turned off so that you can never reach into a live kiln.

An automated switch that is mounted to the hinge of a kiln. When the lid is opened past the height of the prop, this switch ensures power to the heating coils is turned off so that you can never reach into a live kiln. This feature is standard on all CE model kilns, and an option on all others.
This can only be ordered with a kiln, and is a handy safety add-on where curious children may have access to a kiln room.
