The Reed wax dries very quickly so pots can be glazed within minutes of waxing. No long waits. It is quite thin so care needs to be taken to prevent it from running. I add alumina hydrate when waxing lidded containers and this is easily added to the wax. I have also used it as a resist over areas that are glazed and it works well.

This is an excellent wax resist. It applies a nice thin coat that dries really quickly. You can easily wax and glaze almost immediately.
I usually like to add a little food colouring to the jar just to make it easier to see where the wax has been applied.
