A very useful tool for the studio or classroom, these adjustable Clay Cutters are perfect for cutting uniform slabs, tiles, extrusions and pugs.

Functioning like a cheese cutter, the horizontal pipe (seen directly above the clay) slides up and down the vertical bars to adjust the distance between the pipe and the cutting wire, once the desired thickness is determined the thumb screws can be tightened to hold that dimension. Set this space for the thickness you desire and pull through the clay to cut a uniformly thick slab, pug or extrusion.

The Large Clay Cutter has a roller to ease in the cutting of larger slabs and cuts up to 12" wide and 1/8" - 6" deep.
