This F96 Kemper fettling knife has a softer steel blade than the F97, with much more flexibility which allows it to bend. Used to trim pour hole waste, remove mold marks, carve and sculpt ceramics and greenware.

F97 has a hard tempered steel blade with the same “springy” feel as most conventional blades.
F96 is a softer steel blade, with much more flexibility which allows it to bend.
Both blades are 4” long and firmly set in a hardwood handle for a total length of 8”.
