This unique texture and pattern producing glaze was inspired by the dry lake beds of Death Valley.

DL-102 Metamorphic blue is a dark midnight blue crawl glaze which stands out best on white clays or underglaze. Try using with different coloured underglazes to achieve different results.

Dry Lake Glaze works well with most clay bodies and has been formulated to adhere securely without flaking away. The glaze can be applied to greenware or bisque ware. For best results brush on generously. Try experimenting with thicker vs. thinner coats for different results.

Best suited for sculptural work where the added colored texture could change the mood of a piece as well as decorative touches to the outside of functional pieces.

This glaze is not suitable for foodware.

Laguna recommends testing their glazes on test tile with your clay body before use in art or production.
Crawl glazes can be unpredictable and should be tested thoroughly in your own conditions, as results can differ greatly.
