Preparations continue for our 50th Anniversary celebration on June 14, 2025. We will continue to update this space as more information comes available. but to ensure you don't miss any details as they come available, be sure to scroll to the footer of our website and sign up for our newsletter.
If you don’t know yet, we’re having an open house on June 14th, which will include demos, a food truck, screaming deals on products, and we’ll cap off the day with a Clay Olympics.
This one is going to be big folks - several wheels being given away, and a kiln too! Many of our suppliers have donated spot PRIZES - from glaze packs from AMACO, Spectrum, Coyote and Mayco, to Shimpo turntables, Wiziwig products, GR Forms, Giffin Grips, and so much more.
Each of the glaze companies will be doing “make and takes” at their tables, so bring some small pieces of bisque and you’ll get to test out new glazes for free.
The following suppliers will be in attendance to man their tables, answer your questions, and some of them will be doing 1 hour demos on the main stage:
- Amaco/Brent
- Bracker’s (raku kilns)
- Dirty Girls
- GR Forms
- Laguna
- Mayco
- Spectrum
- Skutt Wheels
- The Ceramic Shop
We will be converting our clay production area into a main stage and workshop space with a stage and chairs, and all day long there will be 1 hour demonstration workshops.
Also, at 10 AM, Bracker’s will be setting up for raku demonstrations in the back parking lot, featuring their portable raku kiln, and Spectrum glazes. There will be a limited amount of bisque available. We suggest bringing your own small bisqued cups or bowls if you’d like to participate in the raku firings. (4-5” max dia, must be a raku clay, no plates). The raku firings will run throughout the day, and at the end of the day, the Bracker’s Raku Kiln will be GIVEN AWAY to one fortunate participant.
At 3:30 we will be running a Clay Olympics. In the June newsletter we’ll announce the procedure for signing up. The wheels that will be used in the Olympics have been donated as PRIZES! These include 1 each: Bailey Pro XL with Ergo Counter, Brent model C, Pacifica GT400, Shimpo VL Whisper.
At the end of the Olympics, one random lucky customer who makes an in store purchase that day (and is in attendance for the draw) will WIN a Cone Art GX2327D kiln with Integrated VentMaster, and furniture kit.
Plan to spend the day! We will have a food truck on site as well as FREE refreshments and goodies!
