Part of the Baily System Extruder line to be used with either the System 1 Manual Drive Frame or the System 3 Power Drive Frame. Drive Frames must be purchased separately.

This is an expansion box made of 'mild steel' that attaches to the bottom of the Bailey Clay Extruder System Tile Barrel (M-500-10) to evenly extrude tiles from 6" - 14" Wide as well as narrow hollow forms. Mild steel can rust over time and should be cleaned and dried after each use. (Bailey System Barrels can be removed from the Drive Frame for easy cleaning.) To extrude clay tiles, a slot is cut into the die plate and a clay 'ribbon' is extruded that can be cut into segments to create tiles. It is possible to create contours and ridges on the front and/or back of the extruded tile by cutting them into the die plate. Bullnose tiles and other architectural elements are also possible. The Tile Adapter comes with (1) 4 1/4" x 16 1/2" Wood Blank Die.
